  1. Go to Start Menu and start typing cmd, click on command prompt to open it.
  2.  In command prompt type “ping 192.168.1.34” replace the ip address with your android device IP Address.
  3. If you don’t know the IP Address of your Android device, go to Settings->scroll down->select About Device option->Select Status-> Scroll down and you will find it’s IP Address.

If you receive 4 responses from the ping command with 0% loss, it means you have no connectivity issue between your PC and Android device, but most likely ping command will respond with “Destination Host Unreachable” and 0% loss.


Destination host unreachable message does not mean that your PC or Android device is not functioning properly. This response is due to a number of factors, such as your router settings, windows firewall settings, android device settings.

Follow the steps below to troubleshoot destination host unreachable issue.

Resolve Ping Command Destination Host Unreachable response message:

Step 1: Check if your Android device screen is off, when android devices screen turns off or sleeps, it stops a number of services as it thinks the user is not active. Ping your phone or device while it’s screen is on or active. If this does not resolve the issue follow step 2.

 Disable Clients Isolation Feature of Your Router:

By default most of the routers are shipped with a feature called Clients Isolation enabled. This clients isolation feature ensure no interaction of devices connected to the network.

When this feature is enabled it means devices connected to the network will not be able to communicate with each other. You need to disable Clients Isolation feature of your router to successfully ping any device connected to your LAN/ Wifi.

  1. Log in to your router.
  2. click on Wireless if you are connected through wifi.
  3. Deselect Clients Isolation and save changes.
